Hello Spaneasiers! How are your Spanish classes going? We hope you are learning a lot with our teachers and that you are having a good time, as both are very important. In today’s post, we want to bring you the best plans for Valentine’s Day as it is just around the corner. All these plans can be done as a couple, with friends or even alone, the most important thing is to enjoy!
MUSIC AND CANDLES
This coming February 13th there will be a special Candlelight for the occasion. For newcomers, it is a concert of a string quartet in a room illuminated by candleS. On this occasion, they will play songs worthy of the day of love, however, we totally recommend you visit even if you don’t go with your partner. Tickets cost between 15 and 35 euros, and the event has two different schedules: at 7:00 pm (perfect for planning dinner afterwards) or at 9:00 pm.
MUSEUM AND HORROR MOVIES
If you aren’t into theater or musicals, how about a visit to one of the most anticipated exhibitions in our city? In case you didn’t know, the Stanley Kubrick exhibition has landed at the Círculo de Bellas Artes. We know that his films are not very romantic, but for film enthusiasts, we think it’s an incredible plan, and even more if after the exhibition you go up to the roof of this building! Tickets cost 14 euros!
A DINNER TO SHARE
Do you like to try new restaurants? Have you ever thought about dining in a chapel? Yes, Caluana makes this possible. A few steps away from the Plaza Mayor, this restaurant has just opened and it looks like dinning in there might be a great experience as it has both Italian and Spanish food. However, our favorite part is the baroque chapel in which the restaurant is located; don’t miss it at Calle de la Bolsa, 12!
Have you made up your mind? What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? If you are not convinced by our proposals, we leave you this post in which we show you the unknown parks of Madrid, in case you are looking for a picnic in the sun. See you next time!
