El Bosque Encantado: you can’t miss this unforgettable experience

Hi Spaneasiers! How is it going? We know, we know, you are very busy learning Spanish. But you probably have time after our Spanish courses to visit amazing places in Madrid. Today we want you to know one of our favorites: El Bosque Encantado (the enchanted forest).

It is located in the small town of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, that is to say, only 75 km away from Madrid. El Bosque Encantado is an unique botanic garden since, it not only has more than 500 plant species, but it also is a place created for fantasy. So if you like goblins and fairies, you have to visit this magical garden.

It is full of details! You can find different paths which lead you to several thematic areas: animals, mazes, tales, etc. Also, you can bring your own food and enjoy it in the picnic area. However, there are vending machines and a bar just in case you don’t bring anything.

Finally, in order to complete this experience, there is a beautiful chalet waiting for you to spend the most magical night of your life. The house is called “A Orillas del Lago” because it is indeed in front of awesome lake where you can practice kayaking, archery, sailing etc. And what is more, there is a guided route through the Woods at night . It can’t get any better!

El Bosque Encantado opens at 10 am from Thursday to Sunday (public holidays as well) and the ticket costs 11 euros. Also, you can get a discount if you gather your friends and go as a group. More information at El Bosque Encantado.

Does it sound like a great plan? We think so.However, this is just one of the many places you can visit in Madrid. If you are planning your weekend, take this one into account as well as visiting Parque Europa and El Parque del Buen Retiro.
